Holding Redlich is proud to share that ACT Managing Partner Elizabeth Carroll has been shortlisted for Government Partner of the Year at the 2026 Lawyers Weekly Partner of the Year Awards.

Now in its 11th year, the awards recognise top-performing law firm partners across Australia, with finalists assessed against a combination of quantitative and qualitative criteria, including growth, leadership, innovation and contribution to the legal sector.

A total of 312 finalists have been named this year and Elizabeth is among 10 shortlisted in the government category.

About ACT Managing Partner Elizabeth Carroll

Elizabeth brings more than 25 years’ experience in public and administrative law. She has a deep understanding of the needs of government clients, having led legal teams at three Commonwealth agencies before joining Holding Redlich in 2021 to establish and lead the firm’s Canberra office.

Under her leadership, the office has grown to around 30 staff, including four partners. The firm was also re-appointed to the Whole of Australian Government Legal Services Panel across all areas of law, including workplace, industrial relations and compensation, corporate and commercial (general and specialist), public law, and property and environment.

Over the past year, Elizabeth has worked across a range of public law, procurement, probity, privacy and governance matters, including complex and sensitive work for Commonwealth clients. In her role as joint lead of the firm’s Commonwealth Government practice, she has contributed to strengthening relationships with Commonwealth departments and agencies as part of broader team efforts that have seen the value of Holding Redlich’s Australian Government work triple.
