National law firm Holding Redlich is pleased to announce the promotion of 17 lawyers across its national offices, including three senior lawyers to partnership, reinforcing the firm's commitment to internal growth, talent development and recognising excellence across the firm. The promotions will take effect on 1 July 2026.
This year’s promotions reflect Holding Redlich’s continued focus on developing future leaders and investing in capabilities aligned with the firm’s key sectors, including construction, government and property.
Emily Ng in the Brisbane office is being promoted to Partner in the Construction, Infrastructure & Projects team. Emily advises major contractors, engineering firms and project owners (including government) on public infrastructure, renewable energy and commercial construction projects. She has extensive experience acting in court proceedings and other forms of dispute resolution, including arbitrations, expert determinations and security of payment adjudications, and in advising on all aspects of project delivery, including claims management, dispute strategy and commercial settlement. Emily is recognised in Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch in Australia for Construction / Infrastructure Law and Alternative Dispute Resolution (2023–2027) and was named a Construction Law Rising Star in the 2025 Doyle’s Guide.
Samantha Haddon in the Canberra office is being promoted to Partner in the Corporate & Commercial team. Samantha is a commercial lawyer with extensive experience advising Commonwealth entities on procurement and contracting matters. She is recognised for her expertise in Commonwealth procurement policies and has advised on major infrastructure, health, ICT and telecommunications procurements. Samantha also provides strategic advice on grants administration, probity, privacy and corporate governance matters, and is recognised in Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch in Australia for Government Practice (2027).
Katharine Huxley in the Sydney office is being promoted to Partner in the Planning, Environment & Sustainability team. Katharine specialises in planning, development and environmental law, with expertise in civil litigation and proceedings in the Land and Environment Court of NSW. She advises government and private sector clients on planning, environmental and administrative law matters, and regularly appears as a solicitor advocate in development appeals, enforcement and judicial review proceedings. Katharine is recognised in Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch in Australia for Planning & Environmental Law (2025–2027) and was named a Planning & Environment Law Rising Star in the 2026 Doyle’s Guide. She also sits on the NSW Law Society Environmental Planning & Development Committee.
