Holding Redlich ACT Managing Partner Elizabeth Carroll has been awarded the President's Medal at the Women Lawyers Association ACT (WLA ACT) Awards 2025 held at the National Gallery of Australia. The Gala Dinner, hosted by Master of Ceremonies and netball legend Liz Ellis AO, brought together the legal community to celebrate the outstanding achievements of women lawyers in the ACT.
Elizabeth received the President’s Medal in recognition of her significant contributions over the course of her career in the public and private sectors, her leadership within the legal community and her advocacy for wellbeing and inclusion in the profession. She was also acknowledged for shaping the growth of Holding Redlich's Canberra office, driving meaningful law reform and enhancing the experience of women in the law.
The Awards reflects WLA ACT’s mission to ‘Connect. Empower. Engage’. The President’s Medal is awarded at the discretion of the WLA ACT President, following consideration of a nominee’s professional accomplishments and broader contributions to the law and the community.
Elizabeth is an award-winning lawyer with more than 25 years of experience in public and administrative law. She joined Holding Redlich in 2021 when the firm established its Canberra office and was appointed to Managing Partner in 2024.
Elizabeth leads with a focus on service and innovation and continuously empowers her team to deliver strategic legal solutions tailored to the needs of Commonwealth clients. Under her leadership, the Canberra office has experienced significant growth with the addition of two new partners and their teams, the firm’s appointment to all five areas of law on the Whole of Australian Government Legal Services Panel, and most recently, a corporate partnership with the Institute of Public Administration Australia (IPAA) ACT.
The Women Lawyers Association ACT is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to supporting and promoting the interests of women in the legal profession in the ACT. The Association provides opportunities for networking and professional development, fostering a strong and inclusive community of women lawyers. They also engage in law reform and diversity initiatives, and collaborate with other organisations to advance women in law and women more broadly.
